TCM known for its ability to tonify blood. It also helps to regulate qi and blood circulation. In general the ancient Chinese medical texts cite that it enters the large intestine, kidney, and liver.
Western . used for pain and swelling (inflammation) of nasal passages and the respiratory tract, and as a laxative and tonic. It is also used to treat bacterial infections and sexually transmitted diseases, and as a liver tonic. Yellow dock is also sometimes used to treat intestinal infections, fungal infections, and for arthritis.
